  • Katie Show Package Design
    Katie Couric's new talk show premiered this fall and we're so proud to have been a part of the launch!

    The logo visualizes Katie's intelligence and warmth. She describes her own style as "classic, with a twist". Katie is an avid reader and writer, so a very classic "book" typeface was chosen. Lower case letters give a less formal feel to convey her sense of approachability. The type is housed within a stylized version of her second initial, "C".

    We wanted the overall design to be smart and stylish. The flowing silks visualizes ideas, issues and even Katie herself being "unveiled". The bright and colorful palette is meant to feel vibrant and uplifting. Special attention was paid to materials and lighting as well as graceful movement to create a feeling of high quality.

  • CN Stop Bullying Package
    NMD was honored to work with producer Lee Hoffman of Third Act Productions and Cartoon Network to design a show package for its Stop Bullying campaign. We began with a logo and palette supplied by CN and then created elements such as the open, lower thirds, informational full frames, backgrounds and bumps. The animation style, particularly of the type driven open, uses abrupt and punctuated movement to visualize the idea that words can hurt.

  • Veria Network Package
    NMD created a graphics package for the launch of Veria TV, a network devoted to wellness programming with original shows on food, fitness, health and more. We wrapped the look around organic, free flowing shapes and used the leaves from the logo itself as framing devices and accents throughout the package.

  • ABC This Week
    NMD was selected to design the graphics package for ABC's This Week when Christiane Amanpour debuted as host. The new look uses clean, contemporary shapes and typography along with a simplified globe to reflect her fresh perspective and international expertise.

  • ABC World News Tonight
    NMD took on the challenge to design the graphics package for ABC World News when Diane Sawyer came on as anchor of the broadcast. We were asked for a modern take on the globe icon to give the show a fresh, updated feel. Taking inspiration from contemporary architecture, we chose clean curves to surround a light, sculptural globe. Dynamic camera movement around the globe reveals dramatic lights representing humanity on the continents below.

  • CT Lottery Super Draw
    A Fourth of July themed lottery promotion was the concept presented to us by agency Cashman + Katz to promote Connecticut Lottery's Super Draw game. Designed entirely in Cinema 4d, we worked to put a fresh spin on the traditional stars and stripes motif to create a dynamic 3d environment.

    This project combined live action with 2D and 3D graphics to promote 3 new games for the CT Lottery.

  • Subway 'Wiching Hour
    Boston based agency MMB came with a concept promoting Subway to young adult consumers. The challenge was to design a hungry, hand-drawn character and follow his search for a great sandwich through the pages of a college notebook. Hundreds of illustrations later, our "simple" stick figure comes to life through pen, tablet and a lot of imagination.

  • Stride Rite Bouncy Balls
    To promote Stride Rite's super ball technology, agency MDG worked with us on our stage to create a set up that would allow for a "Matrix" style circular pan. We constructed a specialized rig employing 80+ cameras to shoot the young talent performing acrobatic moves in his super cool shoes.

  • Mary Kay Spring Makeover
    ABC's in-house agency tapped NMD to work with them to create this high energy spot for Mary Kay's spring makeup collection. The idea was to create a high gloss, photo shoot look with frames showcasing before and after makeovers with the magic of Mary Kay cosmetics. NMD's director, Corydon Wagner to headed up the NYC model shoot.

  • Jewelry TV's 18 Birthday
    To promote their 18th birthday, Jewelry Television came to NMD to concept and write a spot celebrating the big event. Based on the idea of birthday wishes, we orchestrated a green shoot and combined the results with 3d animation and 2d compositing to create a magical feel on a grand scale.
